Energy drink with bee product recalled

An energy drink has been recalled because it contains a small amount of royal jelly not declared on the label.

Bacchus energy drinks - regular and sugar free varieties - in 250ml cans with a best before date of December 28, 2009 should not be consumed by people with allergies to bee products, Consumer says.

The drinks are sold in various supermarkets in the North Island.

People who have purchased the drinks are advised to phone 0508 778 775 for a refund.
