11.48pm: Was outside livepool st station. There was a loud bang and the train ground to a halt. People started panicking, screaming and crying as smoke came into the carriage. A man told everyone to be calm and we were led to safety along the track. Everyone was terrified when it happened. When they led us to safety, I went past the carriage where I think the explosion was. It was the second one from the front. The metal was all blown outwards and there were people inside being helped by paramedics. One guy was being tended outside on the track. His clothes were torn off and he seemed pretty badly burned.
- Hamish Pearson

- Andrea

11.31pm: I just wanted to let my friends and family know that I'm fine. I cycled into work today as usual and was blissfully unaware that anything was wrong until I got to Oxford Street. It is a surreal and shocking day to say the very least.

11.29pm: I'm i Kiwi living london for 9 years now, london feels very small now, my thoughts are with the people who are injured today, i look out my window and whole of liverpool street is closed, the tubes where closed when i started traveling to work today and was told to take a bus, wish id stayed at home today.... Peace and love, UTU is not the answer.
- Ben Scott

11.28pm: Dear all, as phone lines are in chaos here in London, I thought it would be easier to let family and friends know that I'm ok. Getting home this evening might take 6 hours or so but that's life!
- Kevin Mitchell

11.27pm: In The City, near two of the blasts, but am okay. "Confined to Barracks", so to speak. can't go out for a nervous fag, or to get some lunch. Frightening, but not unexpected, particularly with the G8 on. (taps heels and whispers, "there's no place like home...". Doesn't work. Invokes great British tradition - cup of tea and stiff upper lip.)
- Reuben Aitchison

11.27pm: Hi mum, dad and mario in NZ - Michelle is OK - she is stuck at school - battery on cell phone is flat - but I am fine. Love you all.

- Lindsay Larkins

11.26pm: Hi to all friends and family - just to say that Tony and I are safe - the targetted areas aren't close to where we work but it's still very unsettling. Thanks for all the text messages and emails.
- Michelle Gray

11.26pm: Am safe and out of London today.
- Ronan Bass

11.25pm: I'm in West London away from the centre of the problems. We can hear sirens but that's not unusual for London anyway. People initially rushed to check that friends and loved ones are OK. There were some problems with the telephone network but most people got through after a few tries. Many emails of reassurance were exchanged - some even from friends in New Zealand who had heard the news and wanted to check. Police are advising people in the Central City to stay where they are and not to call emergency numbers unless absolutely necessary. Everyone seems calm and confident that the authorities have had plans in place for such an event for a long time.
- John Crook

11.25pm: I am safe and I am not in London.
- Kylie Van der Vlerk

11.25pm: Aaron - Great to hear you are OK.Thinking of you.
- Anthony

11.25pm: Like most other people around London right now I am stranded at work watching the tragedy unfold on tv. Needless to say, not alot of work is being done. All transport across London will be unavailable for the remainder of the day. Mobiles work intermittingly so I have received several messages from fellow kiwis confirming their safety. Ardon Taylor and Josie Brown are safe. I am still in the dark about the safety of other friends. Workers around the inner city have been told to stay at work and wait for further information. Companies continue to find alternative transport for employees to use later in the day. So far there are two confirmed fatalities however looking at the LIVE footage on television many more are expected. Rescue operations are still being carried out inside the tube tunnels with reports of carriages filled with bodies. London has come to a standstill.
- Jamie Robertson

11.24pm: Hi I'm safe.
- Paula Gillon

11.24pm: Alistair Pin - is fine. Has texted home.
- Helen

11.23pm: Hi everyone back home - just to let you know me, Steph and Tania are OK - really glad I wasn't any later to work today so didn't get caught up in it. Mobile networks are chokka, so it's been hard to send messages through. Joe - good to see you've posted a message mate, and that you're alright.
- Mike Gatman

11.22pm: Hey all, both Juss and I have come through the explosions ok. Love You.
- Matt Bouzaid

11.22pm: I am fine - All of London paralysed. Not sure how will get home from office. Still trying to get hold of five friends that work closer to area but mobile networks are blocked or congested. Big hug to all at home:)
- Rhys Jarvis

11.22pm: Hey everyone me and all my friends/familly are Ok. London is chaos and there is no cell reception but we are all fine.... anna xxx
- Anna Matthews

11.22pm: Hi guys, Luke and I are fine.
- Lisa Booker, London

11.21pm: Dipika and I are both fine. Thanks for your concern and txt.
- Nayan Makan

11.20pm: Garry McMullin and Tania McMullin are safe.
- Tania McMullin

11.20pm: Mobile services suspended here. Was on another tube line during first incidents. Everyone is quite shaken as news flows in of subsequent explosions and reported fatalities. Sirens have been constant all morning; the celebrationary mood of yesterday's Olympic announcement has fast faded and groups of people are clustered around sports bars with TVs trying to get news of what is going on. No one knows quite how this will unfold. I am working with some Americans with steely reserve. Much love to family and friends.
- Claire Fouhy

11.16pm: I work just outside Edgware road, missed the first bomb by 5 mins cause I decided to come to work early. Another bomb just went of half an hour ago at Edgware again. Apparently there are a lot of people stuck undergound at King's Cross. It is very serious.
- Alex Hurt

11.15pm: Just a quick note to let everyone know that Rich and Hannah are OK. Not entirely sure what the full story is yet but mobile network is in chaos so no chance to get hold of anyone at home. Looks like it might be like this for a while. At work at the moment but looks like may have to stay the night. Really looking forward to coming home for a holiday. Take care all. Love Hannah and Rich
- Richard Denton

11.15pm: Just reporting that Elliot (at work) and Daina (at home) are both OK. Elliot reports hearing sirens etc from Kings Cross area.
- David Keys

11.15pm: Kiwi's living in London just letting people now all the boys are fine.
- Clinton Holmes

11.13pm: Terry & Gail Emerson, please let us know you are safe and well. Thoughts and love are with everyone at this dreadful time.
- Mary Maclardy

11.12pm: Richard Bolderson and his girlfriend and her family are all fine.
- Richard Bolderson

11.10pm: Dad and Dayle, just to let you know Shaun and I are both safe and not in the city. Love you.
- Natalie Cullen

11.10pm: Sofie Bribiesca and I are ok. I was just saying the other day, as people were having there bags searched in the science museum 'do they really think they would find anything like that? There is no defence against people that determined'.
- Steve Barnes

11.08pm: I am safe and well.
- Peter Davies

11.08pm: I am ok, out of the UK at the moment.
- Grant Lawson

11.08pm: Hi all back home - Phil Jack, margaret Blissett, Andrew Scobie are all OK.
- Phil Jack

11.04pm: Both ok
- Megan and Greg Bright

11.04pm: Sharlene is at home on maternity leave well away from the blasts; John is at work in the City but safe - may have trouble getting home though.
- Sharlene Hensler (nee McGregor)

11.04pm: Hi Everyone - Phoebe and Dan are OK as are Craig and Dot. Will have to walk home tonight and Dan is stuck in Twickernam.
- Phoebe Taylor

11.03pm: Rory Tindill, are you okay? Call when you can. Love and prayers. Mums xxxxxxxxxxx
- Judy Tindill

10.56pm: Just letting my friends in NZ know that I'm okay as are my girlfriend and friends.
- Aaron Martin

10.52pm: We are all fine.
- Vimal Choy

10.50pm: Steph and Maureen are both OK.
- Stephan Peters

10.37pm: Work in Stratford where the Olympics will be. No panic here but widespread confusion. People contacting wives and families. Most reports are heresay and its hard to get any information, wild rumours of bombs very nearby and the army being on the streets of the city already. Will be hard to get home to the other side of London tonight. Counting my lucky stars me and my girlfriend are safe, hopefully will be able to keep in contact with everyone.
- Philip Biggs

10.34pm: Hi guys, Im fine and well in London. Safe at work. Take care all. Love Caz
- Caroline Mitchell

10.32pm: Justin Brazier. Are you ok JB?
- Myaka Hawkins

10.28pm: Policemen everywhere around, police sirens everywhere around, we don't really know what is next. We can feel that people are scared, but, I don't feel any danger... I don't know. Sad news, sad events, but still, I really think that it is going to be all right, like most of us I guess. I just pray for it.
- Patricia Saintonge, London

10.24pm: Its a complete nightmare, the whole tube, cell phone and bus networks are totally down and so far we have three tube stations have been hit and three buses. Those buses carry over 100 people each, I just feel sick thinking about how many have been killed. Apparently leicester square has just been hit too.
- Joe Price, UK

9.34pm: I am a New Zealander living in London, letting you know...algate, liverpool st, kings cross, edgeware rd, stations have all had explosions. entire underground closed. first blast at 8.50am at liverpool station. walking wounded. everyone being evacuated. police say a power serge is possible cause. Also there has been an explosion in a bus in travistock square with the entire top deck of the bus being detroyed. blood splattered on front of bus. at least one dead.
- Ashley Pellizzaro, London
