Police have confirmed a person has died in a two-vehicle crash on Ponatahi Rd near Carterton this morning.
Emergency services were called at about 8.35am.
A second person was seriously injured.
The Serious Crash Unit is investigating and the road is expected to be closed for some time. Diversions are
in place.
Police have asked motorists to avoid the area.
