Emergency services respond to cardiac arrest in Upper Hutt

Emergency services are responding to a medical event in Upper Hutt.

Police, Fire, Ambulance and the Life Flight Rescue Helicopter is at the scene at Upper Hutt Rugby League Club on Whakatiki Rd.

A Wellington Free Ambulance spokeswoman said a person has suffered a cardiac arrest.

The person is being taken to Wellington Hospital and is breathing.
