One dead and two taken to hospital after single vehicle crash in Papatoetoe, South Auckland

One person has died after a single vehicle crash in Papatoetoe, South Auckland.

Police responded to the crash at the intersection of Tui Rd and Pembroke St about 7.30pm.

One person was found dead at the scene, police said, while two people have been taken to hospital with minor to moderate injuries.

A power pole has been damaged and local residents may notice some power outages while crews work at the scene.

The intersection was closed following the accident but has since reopened.

The circumstances of the crash remain under investigation, police said.
