An elderly woman involved in a car crash in Rangiora this morning has died.
The 85-year-old was initially taken to hospital in a critical condition following the crash on Flaxton Road just before 11.30am.
Police said just before 4pm today she had since died from her injuries.
An elderly man
is in a serious but stable condition and three other people have been treated for minor injuries.
Officers from the Serious Crash Unit are now investigating the circumstances of the crash.
