Elderly woman dies in Queenstown crash

A 74-year-old woman is dead after a two-car crash in Queenstown this afternoon.

The woman was driving on Frankton-Ladies Mile Highway when her vehicle and another collided head on.

The 74-year-old was the sole occupant of her vehicle.

The driver of the other car is in hospital with moderate injuries.

Police crash Investigators are currently at the scene and say that at this stage the cause of the crash is not known. Inquiries are ongoing.
