Elderly man dies after mobility scooter crash on Kapiti coast

The crash happened just after 4.30 yesterday afternoon on Waerenga Rd, Otaki.

An elderly man has been killed after his mobility scooter crashed with a car on the Kapiti Coast.

The crash happened just after 4.30 yesterday afternoon on Waerenga Rd, Otaki.

The man, 91, was injured and later died in Palmerston North Hospital.

His family has been informed.

The Serious Crash Unit is investigating.
