A 79-year-old man has died after being hit by a car in Tawa, north of Wellington.
Police were at the scene of a vehicle collision on Main Road after a car hit the pedestrian just before 6pm.
The Serious Crash Unit were at the scene and police warned motorists to
expect delays, with diversions in place.
