Elderly man dies after falling into causeway in Whangamata

An elderly man has died after falling into a causeway in Whangamata.

St John spokeswoman Jennifer Porter confirmed the elderly man had fallen into the causeway about 3.20pm and was now dead.

The incident happened on Hetherington Rd.
