Elderly Hamilton woman still missing

Police will decide today whether to continue the official search for an elderly Hamilton woman missing for nearly two weeks.

Audrey Gibson, 82, was last seen leaving her hairdresser's on Comries Rd, in suburban Queenwood, about 4.30pm on December 2.

Waikato police search and rescue Sergeant Phil Bell said at the weekend it was highly probably they were looking for a body.

Police have searched the Waikato River and its banks, as well as properties in the area where she was last seen.
