Eketahuna have become the "dark horses" in Netball Wairarapa's grading series for premier one and premier reserve teams.
Their thrilling 44-43 victory over St Matthew's Collegiate A at the Colombo Rd courts on Saturday was their third win in as many matches for Eketahuna, having already beaten Hot Shots 36-30 and St Matthew's B 54-8 and if they can maintain that form could soon be playing at premier one level.
Other results went pretty much as expected although Celtic probably had to work harder than expected to achieve their 44-41 win over a gritty Wairarapa College A. That was Celtic's third successive win and also maintaining their unbeaten record were premier one defending champions Harcourts who accounted for Carterton New World Vipers 59-28.
