It's a sculpture that clearly has some Dunedin residents down in the mouth.
More graffiti has been scrawled on the city's Harbour Mouth Molars installation on Portsmouth Dr on Saturday.
Dunedin City Council community development committee chairman Cr Bill Acklin said the council would organise removal of the graffiti assoon as possible.
"Somebody is not happy with the DCC," he said.
Cr Acklin said the defacement had been there a few days, although he did not know when it was done.
