Fourteen people have been injured, eight badly, after a balcony collapsed in Dunedin during a concert by the band Six60.
A Givealittle page has been set up for a student who suffered spinal injuries after a balcony collapsed on top of her at a Six60 concert in Dunedin.
Second year student, Bailley Unahi, suffered multiple fractures following the incident last Friday where a packed balcony collapsed at a block offlats on Castle St where the concert was taking place.
The 19-year-old was taken to Dunedin Hospital's emergency department in a serious condition and later transferred to Christchurch Hospital for surgery on her spine. Her family now fear she may never walk again.
The Givealittle page for Ms Unahi, set up by a friend of the Unahi family to assist them with medical costs, described the teen as "an outgoing, vibrant and caring 19-year-old woman with an infectious laugh and a smile that lights up any room she enters".
"She is an active sports person who loves rugby, netball basketball and touch. Bailley is a real team player who lives life to the full."

The page said the Unahi family needed to focus on helping Ms Unahi on her road to recovery and financial assistance would enable them to be able to do so in the coming months.
