More than two decades on from the Monster's first unveiling, Ducati now introduce the latest generation with the 2014 Monster 1200 and 1200 S powered by the formidable, Superbike-derived 1198 Testastretta 11° DS engine. The 2014 Monster 1200 also boasts an exclusive S model with 145hp (135hp on standard) and a ride-enhancing 124.5Nm (118Nm on standard) @ 7,250 rpm of high-accelerating torque, wrapped beautifully in a spec-impressive chassis that tips the scales at 182kg dry weight.

Ducati Monster 1200

High-spec Brembo brakes, fully adjustable Ohlins suspension on the S, aluminum single-sided swingarm and Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tyres mounted on lightweight wheels combine with Ducati's best-yet ergonomics to offer the Italian manufacturer's most attractive Monster ever. Super comfortable and introducing an innovative adjustable seat height, the model also combines 8-level DTC and 3-level ABS into Ducati's user-friendly, press-button Riding Modes all as standard. While the Monster 1200 is presented in Ducati Red with Red Frame and Black Wheels, the Monster 1200 S offers Ducati Red with Red Frame and Glossy Black wheels in addition to the striking scheme of White with Bronze-coloured Frame and Glossy Black wheels.

899 Panigale

The highly-anticipated Ducati 899 Panigale provides a new way to access the exclusive world of Ducati Superbikes with a 'Supermid' version designed to provide the thrill of the new generation 1199 with the refined character of an everyday street bike.

Ducati 899 Panigale

The brand new Superquadro engine produces 148hp with 99Nm of torque to achieve an outstanding power-to-weight ratio and ride enhancing agility. With a dry weight of 169kg the 1199 silhouette underlines the family DNA while the Ducati Quick Shift (DQS), 3-level Ride-by-Wire modes, 3-level ABS, Ducati Traction Control (DTC) and Engine Brake Control (EBC) continue the benchmarks introduced with the award-winning 1199 Panigale.

With carefully designed, rider -friendly features such as increased seat cushioning and performance enhanced gearing for mid-range ride-ability, the new model achieves a mix of Authentic Italian Performance with everyday usability.

The best of both worlds, road and track.

Diavel Dark
The segment defining incredible power cruiser, with innovative LED headlight, and refined rider comfort of the new Diavel may imply "cruiser," but the brute force of its 162 hp Testastretta engine and its razor sharp handling prove otherwise. The Diavel takes the man-motorcycle relationship to another level in absolute comfort. For connoisseurs of technology, the latest generation Testastretta 11° Dual Spark engine combines ABS, Ducati Traction Control and Ducati Riding Modes to deliver a confidence-inspiring superiority while 205kg of pure Ducati drives a comfortable sport lifestyle we've previously only dreamt of.

1199 Panigale S
The 1199 Panigale, goes beyond the barriers of motorcycle design and engineering to set the most extreme benchmark ever and the direction for future sport bikes. Developed in the red-hot environment of racing and designed to raise the performance bar to its highest, the 1199 Panigale uses innovative Ducati Corse-derived solutions to make World Championship level technology available to everyone.

Multistrada 1200 S Touring
It's 4-bikes-in-1 with the Multistrada 1200 S Tourin, which further evolves to take you wherever your heart desires with performance, comfort and safety, and now with the innovative Ducati Skyhook Suspension (DSS), to actively respond to any challenges thrown up by the terrain. Combining ground-breaking design and unprecedented technology, the Multistrada's Sport, Touring, Urban and Enduro Riding Modes enable a truly enjoyable and customisable riding experience separated by just one click.

Streetfighter
The Streetfighter 848 delivers pure motorcycle enjoyment with the sophisticated combination of a new and brilliantly engineered 848 Testastretta 11° engine and the enhanced geometry of a frame that ensures optimum agility with confidence-inspiring "feel". With user-friendliness now enriched by a smooth and flexible power delivery, revised ergonomics and DTC, Ducati's unique fighter style is set to create more excitement than ever.

Monster 659
The "less-is-more" philosophy that has made the Monster a motorcycling icon is now accessible to Learner Riders with the new Monster 659 ABS, produced exclusively for the Australasian market and the Learner Approved Motorcycle Scheme (LAMs) by Ducati, Italy. Attractively the Monster 659 ABS also enjoys the benefit of 2 year unlimited kilometre warranty and 24 hour Riders Assist should it ever be required providing both new or returning riders an extra level of confidence.

The Speedshow runs Saturday 19 - Sunday 20th July. Tickets are just $20 at the gate with children under 10 free. More info and the event timetable can be found at speedshow.co.nz
