A Canadian man and his New Zealand partner are to appear in court in Rotorua charged with importing cocaine and ecstasy and various cannabis offences.
The pair were arrested following a three-week police operation into the importation of cocaine and ecstasy tablets.
The 44-year-old man was arrested yesterday after police and customs officers searched a Rotorua home, Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Loper said.
He will appear in the Rotorua District Court tomorrow, charged with the importation of the two drugs and possession of cocaine for supply.
The man's partner has been charged with cannabis related offences and is due to appear in court today.
