A drug bust in one of Auckland's most elite streets resulted in the discovery of a P-lab early this morning.
Police have begun dismantling the clandestine laboratory after executing a search warrant at a townhouse on Remuera's Victoria Avenue and seizing an undisclosed amount of methamphetamine.
Two men - oneof whom lived at the property - and one woman will appear in the Auckland District Court tomorrow on drug-related charges.
Along with six police officers, they underwent decontamination showers after the raid.
Sergeant Greg Rawbone said the laboratory had been operational when police arrived at 7.30am.
The townhouse-style residence is located in a row of similar properties and had been of interest to police for a short time after anonymous information passed on via the 0800 Crimestoppers hotline.
Mr Rawbone said buildings in which drug labs operated were potentially dangerous for residents on neighbouring properties.
