TWO Exciting driving opportunities have become available to join our well-resourced, forward thinking dynamic team based in Tauranga.

Metro Urgent is one of the largest independent point to point logistics companies in New Zealand. For the last 19 years we have specialized in delivering time sensitive, urgent and critical transport solutions to our customers.

Due to increased business demand in the BOP area we are seeking TWO exceptional people to become waged drivers & join our team.

You will pick up and deliver jobs in a timely manner in and around Tauranga City. We would prefer the applicant lives in Tauranga, Mt Maunganui or local area and already has extensive knowledge of Courier Logistics & Tauranga traffic patterns.

You MUST have a full class 1 drivers licence to apply, If this sounds like the challenge you're seeking then please apply with the reference Tauranga Driver.

To be successful in the above role, you will:

• Have good communication skills, and can communicate clearly.
• Have understanding of traffic patterns.
• Are punctual.
• Have interpersonal skills.
• Are reliable and trustworthy, with a clean police history and clean full license.
• Have good sense of direction.
• Have customer service skills.
• Are able to meet strict deadlines & able to prioritize your deliveries.
• Be 'fit for work' as this is a demanding position. e.g. lifting boxes
• Be able to pass a drug & fitness to work test.
• Have an understanding of, and be Health & Safety conscious

These are waged positions (vehicle supplied) and are required to be available to work from Monday to Friday 7.30am - 5.30pm, & be flexible for some roistered 'On Call' work when required.

Please note initial interviews will be conducted in Tauranga, if you are short-listed you will be required to attend second interviews at our Main office in Hamilton.
