A driver was hospitalised with serious injuries after his car and two trucks collided this morning.
Sergeant Craig Brown, of Dunedin police, said the car had been heading north and the trucks south when the crash happened about 4am, on State Highway 1 just south of the TaieriRiver Bridge, south of Dunedin.
The car driver was taken to hospital and one of the truck drivers was treated for injuries at the scene, he said.
