Driver admits causing cyclist's death

A Marton motorist who hit and killed a cyclist near Palmerston North last year has pleaded guilty to careless driving causing death.

Mother of four Patricia Fraser, 34, was riding with a friend near Sanson on November 13 when she was hit from behind by a car driven by Christopher David McClelland, aged 45.

McClelland, who was representing himself in the Feilding District Court on Monday, was remanded on bail for sentencing on March 14, The Manawatu Standard reported.
