Drink-driving with kids

A Hawkes Bay mother without a licence was caught drink-driving for the fourth time with a carload of children including a 2-year-old sitting on the floor.

But mother of nine Marganna Taukamo, 39, has avoided prison, with the Hastings District Court ordering four months' home detention and counselling about parental responsibilities.

She was also disqualified from driving for a year.
