Dress to impress at the tennis this summer (+WIN)

A stint at the tennis is quickly becoming one of the more stylish ways to spend a summer afternoon - just ask Anna Wintour, who is often seen in the crowd at the US Open (she skipped New York Fashion Week shows in September to watch Roger Federer play). The New Zealand Festival of Tennis opens on January 5 with the ASB Classic and Heineken Open, giving plenty of opportunities to show off your summer style on the sideline.

But what to wear? All-white? Tennis pleats? Linen shorts? Fashion designer Juliette Hogan and the team at Working Style share their top tips.

Juliette Hogan

1. Keeping the sun off your face while still looking put together is key. I love our floral 'Raven' shorts worn with the 'Harper' cami and silk ivory 'Carine' shirt worn loosely over the top. It's colourful yet cool and breathable to take you through the scorching January heat.

2. If you're in a corporate box, it's important to look like you've made an effort without looking too "done up''. We love a simple gold pencil skirt paired back with our 'Harper' cami and matching gold brocade summer cap. It's the right amount of sophistication for a day event.

3. Sport luxe dressing remains strong so take the opportunity to embrace it by pairing our chalk 'Frost' tee and 'Celeste' skirt. They are the perfect mix of sporty with the net raglan sleeves and drawstring waistband, while still incredibly luxe with the touch of silk crepe de chine.

Working Style

1. Put on a tailored casual shirt or polo shirt, which can also be worn under a cotton or linen jacket.

2. Slim cotton trousers in washed blue, red or even a shade of white.

3. A classic pair of sunglasses to keep the summer sun at bay. Wayfarers or Aviators would be best.
