O'Sullivan, who was attacked by a dog on the same beach two years ago, wrote on Facebook the incident happened around 9.15am as her aunty and sister walked her pet puppy along the inner city beach.
Out of the blue two dogs running at full force ploughed into the unsuspecting woman.
"She was walking and the dogs were with each other hurtling along from the opposite direction," she told the Herald.
Her aunty was rendered helpless with passers by coming to her aid.
The owner or owners of the dogs didn't make themselves known and may have not have realised their dogs had crippled someone.
"Either the owner/s of the dogs saw the incident occur, and they moved on without making themselves known, or they didn't know their dog/s caused this accident because they didn't have visual contact with them. Neither of these options are OK. Not at all. Neither the dogs nor my aunty are at fault here," posted O'Sullivan.
One of the dogs was described as tan-coloured and the other was a smaller light-cream dog. O'Sullivan is appealing for anyone in the community who knows the owners of either dogs to make contact.
"Please help us to spread the word so we can avoid someone else losing their quality of life, their ability to earn their income and their right to feel safe walking on our beautiful beaches," she wrote.
O'Sullivan said a complaint had been laid with Auckland Council.
Dogs are permitted to run off-leash at Point Chevalier beach during winter between 4pm and10am daily but must be kept under control at all times.
Auckland Council was approached for comment about the incident.
