Dispute fallout could lead to loss of job

The political figure embroiled in the matrimonial dispute could lose his position, or be pressured into resigning.

The Herald understands that a small, powerful group of members in the political party to which he belongs are organising a meeting to discuss the fallout from the court case. That special meeting could be held next week.

Whether the man keeps his position could ultimately be determined by the attitude of the leader or leaders of the party.

Judge Sarah Fleming granted an order suppressing any information that could lead to the identification of the parties to the case, including the party.
