Dementia patients found

Two elderly people with dementia who went missing today have both been found.

Police said 91-year-old war veteran Oliver Gee was found, after he disappeared from Ranfurly War Veterans Home in Mt Albert in Auckland in the early hours of this morning.

Emma Rangi, 72, was also found after she wandered away from her Newtown, Wellington, rest home about 7.30am today.

She was found in Newtown, a police spokesman said.

Both elderly people were now safe.
