Save Traffic diversions have created a tailback in Waikato around a crash on SH1B at Gordonton, and police are asking motorists to stay away.
The affected stretch of SH1B is between Henry and Lake Roads on Gordonton Road.
The crash occurred at 4pm when a ute towing a trailer downed a
high voltage power pole.
Wires were left dangling over the ute and emergency services were helping to get the vehicle's occupants out.
Neither occupant was injured.
