West Auckland commuters should expect delays this morning after an overnight crash closed a busy road.
Just after 2.30am a car driving along Don Buck Rd in Massey crashed into a power pole at the roundabout with Swanson Rd.
No other vehicles were involved and the driver, a man, was injured.
Don Buck Rd and Swanson Rd were closed between Universal Drive and Metcalfe Rd while roading and power infrastructure was repaired, police Inspector Chris Tate said.
"That should cause a modicum of consternation for commuters around there."
