Police are advising motorists to avoid travel on State Highway 1 in the Wellington region due to a crash.
A car has crashed and flipped onto its roof about 1km north of Pukerua Bay.
Both lanes are currently closed.
Police expect to be in a position to open one lane
shortly for northbound traffic to go around the crash site.
Southbound traffic will be diverted over the Paekakariki Hill Road.
