Delays expected after paint spill on CBD motorway

Update 11am: Auckland Transport has tweeted all lanes are now open on the Northern Motorway after a paint spill closed two lanes. Motorists should expect delays as traffic eases.

A paint spill on a CBD motorway has blocked two southbound lanes just before Fanshawe St and is resulting in long delays. Auckland Transport is asking motorists heading south to consider State Highway 16 or 18.

The identity of the expressive street artist is unknown.
