Dangerous man on run in Taranaki

A dangerous fugitive remains on the loose in Taranaki despite police using road spikes to stop his stolen vehicle.

The man fled on foot after police disabled his four-wheel-drive near Uruti, 35km northeast of Waitara. A search with dogs failed to find him.

The man is described as a European, aged 25 to 30 years, 187cm tall with dark brown hair. He was wearing a light coloured jacket and dark trousers and should not be approached.
