Police are concerned for the welfare of a 49-year-old man and his young daughter who left Kawhia Harbour on a catamaran 10days ago and haven't been seen or heard from since.
Alan Langdon and his daughter Que Langdon, 6, were heading for Bay of Islands.
They left Kawhia Harbour inthe Waikato on December 17 and have since had no contact with their family .
Police said they had grave concerns for the pairand are seeking information from other boaties who may have seen them.
The 6m white catamaran is has blue anti-fouling paint under the waterline and a sail ID number of T878.
