A cyclist has been seriously injured after falling down a 10m bank from his bicycle in Taupo today.
The Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter was dispatched to Taupo Hospital at 1pm to airlift the 29-year-old from Auckland to Waikato Hospital.
A spokeswoman for St John said they were called to the
scene at 11.40am this morning and transported the man to Taupo Hospital in a serious condition.
A spokeswoman for Waikato Hospital said the man remained in a critical condition in the intensive care unit.
