Cyclist dies after logging truck collision

A cyclist is dead after a collision with a logging truck in the Bay of Plenty tonight.

The accident happened at the intersection of Te Matai Road and State Highway 2, near Te Puke, shortly before 6pm, Inspector Kerry Watson of northern police communication said.

A man in his 30s died at the scene.

Police would release the man's details when next of kin had been informed.
