Save No one else was involved in an incident in which a cyclist was found dying on a Hamilton pavement early this morning, police say.
The 34-year-old man was found by two members of the public, lying on the footpath of the intersection of Victoria St and Edgecumbe St about 1am.
He died soon after police and ambulance staff arrived at the scene.
His bicycle was found near his body, and police initially focused their investigation on how he came to be there.
This afternoon Detective Senior Sergeant Karl Thornton said preliminary inquiries suggested there was no indication that anyone else was involved.
