Cyclist critically injured in Auckland CBD car crash

A cyclist is fighting for their life after they were struck by a car in central Auckland.

The crash happened in Cook St, a police statement said.

"One person has been transported to hospital in a critical condition."

Due to a serious crash on Cook St, the southbound #SH16 Cook St off-ramp is now CLOSED. Consider detouring via alternative off-ramps. ^MF https://t.co/nZyXxWMVXX

The Cook St motorway off-ramp has been closed and the Serious Crash Unit is at the scene.
