Cyclist critically injured after Waikato fall

A cyclist is fighting for their life after a fall in south of Cambridge, Waikato.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Cambridge Rd shortly before 4pm, where a cyclist appeared to have come off their bike, a police spokeswoman said.

A St John Ambulance spokeswoman said a rescue chopper was at the scene, as were two ambulances and a rapid response vehicle.

"One person has critical injuries," she said.

Police confirmed officers were also at the incident.
