A cyclist has been rushed to Waiakto Hospital in a critical condition after a serious crash on Te Rapa Rd in Hamilton.
Police were called to the crash where a car and cyclist collided at about 1.30pm.
A St John spokeswoman said two ambulances attended the call-out and the patient
was taken to Waikato Hospital in a critical condition.
Te Rapa Rd near Caltex has been closed and traffic is being diverted.
Motorists are being urged to take alternate routes.
