Two teens have been arrested after smashing a store west of Auckland before taking off on a moped.
The pair, aged 15 and 16, have been charged with burglary after the alleged early morning offending in Parakai.
Waitematā North area prevention manager, Acting Inspector RogerSmall said the crime was reported to police at 3.20am.
Police were alerted by the public to two people smashing the front window of a store on Parkhurst Rd.
Small thanked the public for reporting the alleged offenders.
He urged anyone else who sees anything “suspicious” to call 111 immediately. Other information can be reported online at police.govt.nz, or by calling 105.
