A teenager was slashed by a motorist with a knife as he was walking in Nelson yesterday.
Police said the attack happened yesterday between 5.15pm and 5.30pm on the corner of Arapiki and Main Rds in Stoke.
The boy was walking near the intersection when men in a white Toyota
driving south along Main Rd stopped next to him.
A man got out of the passenger side of the vehicle and cut the teenager's arm with a knife.
He then got back into the car and the driver did a U-turn and drove off.
