Fire and Emergency were battling a fire at an bottle store in Tuakau, south of Auckland.

Emergency services were called to the building about 9.20pm Tuesday evening.

A spokesperson said the building was "well alight" when they arrived.

Nine crews were fighting the fire in the 20 metre by 20 metre building which had reached third alarm status.
