Crashes on several arterial routes in Auckland are still causing delays for commuters heading home.
A crash on the Northern Motorway southbound, just prior to the Auckland Harbour Bridge, has now been cleared but traffic still remains heavy in the area.
The Transport Agency advised travellers to expect heavy congestionfrom Esmonde Rd to the Harbour Bridge.
There is also a breakdown after Greville Rd, blocking the left lane.
Another crash in Manurewa was partially blocking Grande Vue Rd and causing delays just before the Hill Rd northbound on ramp.

On the Southern Motorway traffic was heavy between Greenlane and Penrose Rd following a crash after Market Rd for southbound traffic.
For citybound traffic it was heavy between Southern Eastern Arterial and Newmarket.
On the Northern Motorway traffic was heavy between Causeway and Te Atatu Rd for westbound traffic. It is also heavy for citybound traffic at the Northern Link.
On the Southwestern Motorway traffic was heavy for southbound traffic for the Southern Link, and heavy but easing for northbound traffic between Walmsley Rd and Neilson St.
