Crash victim named

A man killed in a crash near Marton, in northern Manawatu, on Friday has been named.

He was Wayne Hammond, 59, of Bulls.

Mr Hammond's Toyota Rav 4 and a Nissan Terrano collided at the intersection of Williamsons Line and Makirikiri Road at about 6.20am. The driver of the Nissan received minor injuries.

Mr Hammond's dog was also killed in the crash.

Police are investigating.
