Crash on Auckland's southern motorway near East Tamaki off-ramp northbound

A car crash has blocked a lane on Auckland's southern motorway.

The incident happened in the righthand northbound lane near the Te Irirangi Drive on-ramp, a police spokeswoman said.

Police were called to the scene at 12.33pm.

Traffic is backed up past Redoubt Rd, photos from NZTA's traffic camera shows.

Police asked motorists to avoid the area if possible.
