Crash closes SH2 south of Waihi

State Highway Two south of Waihi is closed after a vehicle rolled this morning.

Police said a woman received moderate injuries in the accident, which occurred at 9.17am, about 5km south of the town.

The state highway is currently closed to traffic while the crash is cleared.

South-bound traffic is being diverted onto Waihi Beach Rd and back onto SH2 from Anthenree Rd. North-bound traffic is being diverted onto Old Tauranga Rd.
