Crash closes Auckland motorway lanes

Police said this afternoon that southbound lanes of Auckland's Southern Motorway were closed following an accident.

Emergency services were responding to reports of a multiple crash in the between Penrose and Mt Wellington, Inspector Andrew Brill said.


However, the accident was reported cleared shortly afterwards and traffic was flowing freely, Mr Brill said.
