Crash caused 6-hour traffic delay in downtown Auckland

Parts of Auckland's central business district were closed to traffic for six hours yesterday after a car and motorcycle collided.

The accident happened on the corner of Fanshawe and Nelson Sts at midday.

It is believed one of the vehicles ran a red light.

Two people were taken to Auckland Hospital, one in a serious condition and the other with moderate injuries.
