Crash blocks West Auckland traffic

A crash has closed part of State Highway 16 in West Auckland as emergency services were reportedly forced to cut at least one person free this morning.

A police communications spokeswoman said diversions were in place between Brigham Creek Road and Trig Road, north of Massey, and traffic was backing up.

She said there had been reports of people being cut from wreckage and taken to hospital but few details were immediately available.
