Cow killed in car crash on South Auckland rural road

A cow has been killed after a car crashed into wandering stock on a South Auckland road early today.

Police say the crash happened around 4.45am on Waiuku Rd near the settlement of Mauku.

A second cow wandering in the area had to be secured, said the spokeswoman.

The driver of the car suffered moderate injuries.
