More than 40 Wairarapa business owners and budding entrepreneurs have refreshed their business skills with the completion of the 2012 Certificate in Small Business Management.
The course was tutored by local businesswoman Jeanette Hall, of Kiwi Ideas Ltd and Training Ventures Ltd, and ran from March to November.
The freeprogramme facilitated by Te Wanganga o Aotearoa was attended by 46 people.
Mrs Hall said the course provides the tools that everyone needs to run a business successfully from bee-keeping to a beauty salon.
"You can't launch a business and keep it going just because you have a brainwave, you need to know how you're going to make it work and this course give you that knowledge."
