Cooking oil spill closes motorway exit

Police closed an Auckland motorway exit and several inner city streets this afternoon after a large cooking oil spill.

Details of the spill were not immediately available but the motorway's Cook Street exit was closed and drivers were told to take the Fanshawe St exit if headed to the city southbound from the North Shore.

Also closed were Cook Street and Victoria Street from College Hill to Union Street.
